Jeanne Mallory, of Saint John, NB; passed away peacefully at the Loch Lomond Villa (Birch House), on Thursday, April 30, 2020. Born in East Saint John on October 3rd, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Mildred McLennan.
She was once employed at the Saint John Dry Dock, where she met her husband, the late Harold E. Mallory. She later went to work at CP Rail, where she finished out her working life. Jeanne was the president of the woman’s auxiliary for the YMCA, a member of the Eastern Star, and attended Grand Bay Baptist Church. She was renowned for her fabulous baking and love of shopping, enjoyed being with her family and friends at the camp on the Washdemoak Lake. For 50+ years, she and the girls from Club got together each week, rain or shine, to play 45s.
Jeanne will be missed by her children, Gena (Stuart) Osborne of Grand Bay- Westfield, Cindy (Rob) Langan of Dartmouth, Thane (Nancy) Mallory of Gagetown, and Melissa Mallory (Randy Archibald) of Timberlea, three grandchildren, Tamara (Charlie) McLeod, Bryston (Mary) Turner and Justin Langan; four great grandchildren (Tessa, Saul, Seth and Sadie), and one great-great granddaughter (Ava); two brothers, Darryl McLennan and Brian McLennan and one sister, Judith Cunningham; several step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Jeanne was predeceased by her brother-in-law, James Cunningham.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home on 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (634-7424) Funeral and Celebration of life will take place at a later date.
