Michael worked as a senior business advisor with Ambir and then Ernst Young for a number of years.
In 2015, Michael was a recipient of organ donation and was incredibly blessed with the second chance at life he received.
He will be tremendously missed by Maureen, his wife of 25 years, his five children, Dawson, Joseph, Benjamin, Gabriel, and Emily; siblings, Donna Long (Einar Fiskerstrand), Norway, John (Denise) Long, Halifax, Greg (Wanda) Herrett, Springhill, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
