Obituary of Beryl Sylvia Rutherford

At the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by herloving family, Beryl, wife of the late John Wood Rutherford, went to be with her Lord on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the age of 95. Beryl was born on June 15, 1922, a daughter of the late Alfred and Melvina May (Belding) Toner. Survived by daughters: Melvina (Late Everett) McAllister and Sandra Compton (Fiancée Ian Morris); sons: Tom (Linda) and Jonathan (Mary); grandchildren: Heather (Adam) Katz, Wendy McAllister, John McAllister, Emily (Stefan) Deters, Ellen (Marc) Push, Daniel (Michelle) Compton, Katie (Kurt) Frank, Sarah (Peter) Amend, Tim (Christa Cormier) Rutherford, John Rutherford, Stephanie Rutherford (Roland Doiron), Jess (Joe) Cormier, Robin Rutherford and Jacob Rutherford; great- grandchildren: Alexandria, Thomas, Robert, Patrick and Daniel Katz, Mathew and Sadie McAllister, Elle Deters, Cohen and Ingrid Tremblay, Violet and Bailey Ford, Samuel, Olive and Lucas Frank, Juniper Amend, Keyana Cormier, Travis Carson, Charles and Ruby Rutherford and Ron an Cormier, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, John, Beryl was predeceased by her daughter, Wendy; two brothers; nine sisters and special friend Mike Eastwood. Arrangement have been entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (634-7424). Visitation will take place at Forest Hills United Baptist Church, 36 Mountain Road, Saint John on Tuesday, March 13 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, followed by a memorial service and reception. Interment will take place at a later date.
