Obituary of Marjorie Ann Comeau

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Marjorie Comeau, wife of the late Richard Thibault, announces her passing, which occurred on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the Church of St. John and Stephen Nursing Home. Born on July 12, 1941 in Saint John, she was one of 14 children to the late George and Edna (Beckingham) Ellis. Marjorie was a fun-loving spirit, who was always willing to help others. For many years, she volunteered her time at Romero House. Marjorie loved playing darts, and was a member of the Ladies Maple Leaf Glade #1, she also enjoyed playing cards, BINGO and quilting with the help of her granddaughters. Marjorie will be dearly missed by her children: Kelly Whittaker, Kevin Whittaker and Faye (Joe) Totten, her grandchildren: Jessica, Sarah (Matt), Gerard (Rachel) and Tricha, great-grandchildren: Kayden and Chayce, her brothers: James, David (Winnie) and Richard (Patsy) Ellis, sisters: Ruthie (Bob) Homouth, Georgina (Gerry) Shaw, Charlotte (Raymond) LeBlanc along with several nieces, nephews and members of her extended family. Besides her parents and husband Richard, Marjorie was predeceased by her first husband Jeremy Roy, her brothers: Charles, Robert, Donald, John, George, and Howard Ellis, and sister Ella Ellis. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). In keeping with Marjorie’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the RomeroHouse or a charity of donor’s choice.
