Obituary of David John Fraser

It is with heavy hearts that the family of David Fraser announces his passing which occurred on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. David was born on November 8, 1932 in England. Survived by his loving wife Ann (Cheesmar); children Clifford (Gail) Fraser, Alison (Kevin) Godwin and Barrie Fraser (Karen Tyrell); grandchildren Daniel Godwin, Susan and Lesley Fraser. David came to Canada with his family, from the UK in 1967 to start a career in Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering. His successful consulting businesses, Maritime Marine Consultants and Newfoundland Marine Design, were well known across the Atlantic Provinces. He had a passion for a number of hobbies, most notably classical music, including building an enviable album library, golfing at Riverside and a hands-on approach to gardening. The family would like to thank the staff at Rocmaura for their care and support during David's final years. A gathering of family and friends to remember Dave will be held on Thursday, April 19th at 12:00 PM at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
