Obituary of Colin Eugene Chisholm

It is with heavy hearts the family of Colin Eugene Chisholm, loving husband of Anne Marie Chisholm, announce his passing which occurred on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born June 30, 1932 in Saint John, he was a son of the late Colin and Roma (Quinlan) Chisholm. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his sister Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Desgagne. Colin will be missed always and forever by his daughters, Debra Dicks and Patricia Lehmann (Reinhard); grandchildren: Colin, Courtney and Christopher Dicks and Mark Lehmann; great-grandchildren: Matthew, Cameron, Liam, Caleb, Hunter, and Carson; sister, Lorraine Leigh; brother, Bernard "Bernie" Chisholm (Ellen); and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Colin was a devoted husband, father and grandfather! He was a very social man, who enjoyed sharing conversations with everyone he knew. He had a love of Harness Horses, raising and training his very own was a special source of pride and gratification. Colin’s family would like to thank the Loch Lomond Villa staff and nurses for the kindness and care shown to Colin over the years. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Wednesday, May 30 and Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. The Funeral Liturgy will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM with a reception following the service. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances in memory of Colin may be made to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Restoration Fund.
