Obituary of Helen Mary Ramsay

Helen passed away peacefully on the afternoon of July 23rd, 2018 at Rocmaura, with her loving family by her side at the age of 95. Born in Bronson, NB, she was the youngest daughter of the late Frank Johnson (Saint-Ignace) and Mary Ann (Clancy). Helen is survived by her son, Frank (Peggy) of Moncton; grandsons, David (Michelle), Duane (Etchel) and Devon (Yury); great-grandsons, Ryan, Arron, Matias, Malachi, Elijah, Lucas and Donovan; great-granddaughters, Tiara, Adeline and Julianna and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brothers, Jack, Robert and Edward; as well as sisters, Pauline, Mary, Marie, Betty and Eva. Helen was an independent person who worked many years at the Cotton Mill and later at the Atlantic Sugar Refinery. Her home was shared by many workers from Northern, NB, who found employment in Saint John. Helen enjoyed attending Mass at the Cathedral, clogging, playing cards, road trips to Maine and bowling. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and all who knew her. In keeping with Mom’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society of NB or a charity of the donor’s choice.
