Obituary of John Robert Arthur Palmer

The death of John Robert Arthur Palmer of Saint John, NB, husband of the late Barbara (Mills) occurred on May 5, 2019.
 

John is survived by his two daughters, Roxanne Gervais and Starr Cook (husband Robin); grandson, Nathan (wife Nicki); granddaughter, Leah (husband JC Ouellet) and great-granddaughter, Savannah; fiancée, Sandra Magee; sister, Connie (husband Leonard Voutour); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Throughout his life John spent 23 yrs. with the Canadian Armed Forces (Regular) with the Communication Branch, also many years in the Reserves and Cadet League.
Shortly after retirement he found employment with the Irving Group, Kent Line and Atlantic Towing.

In keeping with John’s wishes, there will be no visitation.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service and Legion Tribute which will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 9:30 AM.  A private interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
 

In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB, Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
