Obituary of George Rowley Winnie

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of
George Rowley Winnie "Uncle George" of Saint John, NB, which occurred on
Thursday, May 16, 2019 at the Shannex Tucker Hall, Saint John.

Born in Saint John on October 28, 1937 he was a son of the late Walter and Lena
(Dobson) Winnie. He was employed with School District #8 in the maintenance
department until his retirement.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his siblings: Mary Veinot, Arthur
Winnie, Robert Winnie, Hartley Winnie, Walter Winnie and Eva London. He will
be deeply missed by Kathy (Veinot) Ferguson, Paul Veinot, John Veinot, and Barb
Veinot, to whom he loved like his own children.

To honour George’s wishes there will be no funeral home visitation or service.
Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are
under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB
(634-7424).
