David was a proud member of IBEW Local 502 for 47 years and the longest serving President. During his presidency he organized many union events including the annual fishing tournament, the summer kids picnic and made sure every child had a special gift at the annual Christmas party. He also made meaningful improvements in the Health and Wellness program and Pension Trust Fund for Union Members. His volunteering was endless; he participated in the Romero House renovation, Habitat for Humanity new builds, as well as organized many auctions and collections. David also mentored many young apprentices who have become loyal 502 members ensuring Local 502 remains a strong union presence today. David was also proud of his 22 years of service at the Irving Oil Refinery. David was a 40 year member with the 69 branch Legion. Above all else, he was “the Best Grampy ever”.
