Pamela Wood

Obituary of Pamela Wood

It is with immense sadness that the family of Pamela Wood, beloved wife of Craig Loatman, announces her passing on Sunday, December 22, 2019. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 21, 1963, she was the daughter of John and Delores Wood.

Pamela had a larger than life personality. Witty and blunt, she would do anything for those she loved – and if she couldn’t, she’d make sure you knew it. Her family was her world and her son Johnathan was especially her pride and joy. She always had stories to share and the pictures to go with them! You could find her and Craig camping, and they would go everywhere, wherever the wind could take them. Pamela loved attending the family potlucks as long as her favourites would be making an appearance. She loved her friend Pascal’s nacho dip, and fruitcake and loved her Arby’s and Tim Hortons. She was addicted to their apple cider and was ready to send a letter with some choice words in it when they stopped carrying it. She also adored her second family, her special friends from Grand Bay and the Grove Lounge where she was a proud co-host on Karaoke nights. Pamela will be missed by so many who knew her.

Pamela will be deeply missed by her parents John and Delores, the love of her life Craig, as well as; children: Johnathan Loatman and Candace McDaniel; step-children: Craig Loatman Jr, Shannon Loatman and Keishia Loatman; siblings: Greg Wood (Misty) and Rebecca Wallace (Matthew); 7 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant brother.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). In keeping with Pamela’s wishes, there will be an informal memorial service at the Grove Lounge (Westmorland Place) on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at 3 PM. All are welcome. Donations in her memory can be made to the Diabetes Association of Saint John. Online condolences may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com.
