Plumie Armstrong

Obituary of Plumie Barbara Armstrong

It is with heavy hearts we say goodbye to a very special lady. Plumie Barbara Armstrong (Little) passed away at the Charlotte County Hospital Thursday, July 9, 2020. She was born in Oak Bay, Charlotte County, NB, August 11, 1931.

Plumie loved the birds and flowers and enjoyed knitting.  She was probably best known for her fudge and peanut brittle that traveled near and far.  Even her doctor’s kids called her the fudge lady.  She was a long-time employee with the Save Easy and Superstore, where she became well known by everybody.  She retired from there in 1993.

She was a terrific lady and will be sadly missed.  She is survived by her two sons; Larry (Jill), Linton (Kim); daughter Debbie; special nephew Eric (Suzanne); special friend Leighton Clark; grandchildren Heather, Jim, Shawn, and Kelly; great-grandson Riley, and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506) 634-7424. By Plumie’s request, there will be no visitation or service.  Donations to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
