Obituary of John Blanchard

It is with heavy hearts and gratitude for a lifetime of memories that the family of John A. Blanchard, beloved husband of the late Marie (Smith) Blanchard, announces his passing which occurred on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Bathurst, NB on October 6, 1930, he was a son of the late Adolf and Bridgette (Daigle) Blanchard.

John will be missed by his children: Delcia Blanchard, Judy Blanchard, Allan Blanchard and Lesa MacLaren (Darren); grandchildren Jack, Jessica, Michael, Robert and Adam; a great granddaughter, Rylee Rose; siblings Marian, Alexantine, Mary and Theresa; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, John was predeceased by his siblings Louise and Delia.

Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Monday, November 9, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Guests are asked to enter the funeral home using the courtyard entrance, where staff will greet and assist you with Covid-19 protocol. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 12:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
