Obituary of Marie Curnew

It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy Marie Curnew announces her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 9, 2021. Born on June 16, 1960, in Stephenville Crossing, NL, she was a daughter of Ernest Alexander and Medina Curnew (Eddie Fisher).

 

Marie enjoyed outdoor activities including blueberry picking her son Terence, hiking with her son Steven during one of their Sunday Adventures, and taking Steven’s dog Bodie for a walk. She also loved her cat Flair. Marie liked to play pool at Godfrey's growing up, and adored spending time with her grandchildren.

 

Marie is survived by her partner Stephen Edison; sons: Steven and Terence Curnew; grandchildren: Bentley Hamm and Callen Buote; siblings: Carol Ann Fisher, David Fisher, Darryl Fisher, Tracey Nolan, and Ashley Alexander; as well as several nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by her grandmother Susan Curnew, as well as several close extended family members.

 

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Sunday, April 18, 2021, from 2 - 4 PM and 6 - 8 PM  and guests are encouraged to register in advance with their name and contact tracing information at registration@brenansfh.com.
