Obituary of Hazen Sherwood

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Hazen Morris Sherwood of Rothesay, New Brunswick.   After a short illness, he passed away at Saint John Regional Hospital on August 12, 2021.

Dad was born on July 31, 1931 in Quispamsis.  He worked at various jobs but settled into a life of over sixty years of selling cars and training salesmen and management.  Several members of the family followed him into the car business. Dad was known as a man of integrity and firmly believed in satisfactory customer service.

Hazen was predeceased by his beloved wife Dorothy, his brother Bob (wife Marjorie), Edith (his brother Lloyd).  He and Dorothy enjoyed spending time at their property in Grand Lake. Dad is survived by his brother Lloyd, his two sons Robert (Karen and family), Richard (Linda and family), and by many beloved family members.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home (111 Paradise Row Saint John 634-7424). The service will be held on Friday, September 10th, 2021 at 2:00 pm at First Bible Baptist Church of Quispamsis (218 Hampton Rd, Quispamsis, New Brunswick) officiated by Pastor Robert Conrad. Interment to follow at the old Hampton Rural Cemetery (61 Cemetery Rd. Box 8, Hampton, Kings County, NB. E5N 3A9). To honour Hazen and Dorothy’s wishes they will be interred together.

All Welcome!

The reception will be held at 4:00 pm in the Kennebecasis Funeral Home (152 Pettingill Rd. Quispamsis, NB. E2E 3S6). The family would like to sincerely thank all those who helped our dad in his later years. The family would also like to thank Mr. Ron Hughes, who was present with dad at the time of his passing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
