Obituary of Linda May Good

It is with profound sadness that we would like to announce the unexpected passing of Linda May (McLaughlin) Good, which occurred on November 10, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Linda was born in Saint John on December 8, 1959.

Linda, an avid crafter and baker, will be missed by the love of her life, Christopher Good.  She also leaves behind her mother, Violet McLaughlin; her brothers and sisters, Norman (Judy) McLaughlin, Susan (Robert) Ewing, Frank (Laura) McLaughlin and Karen (John) Bedford; her brothers and sisters-in-law, John Good, Cleave Jr. (Debbie) Good, Charmaine Good, Charlene (Eddie) Good, James Good, Mark Good, Theresa (Tony) Mason and Tanya (Jody) Hunter; her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who all loved “Aunt Linda” as she loved them; as well as her many aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was predeceased by her two fathers, Frank McLaughlin and Bernard Ryan and her sister, Deborah Lucy McLaughlin.

Linda was always helping someone in the community, from attending Rhoda’s Flea Market to working with and organizing the Farmers Market every Sunday in St. Martins. For years she worked with the St. Martins Access Center, on the St. Martins Newsy and the Old Home Week Events Booklet.

Linda will be missed by her very special sister-in-law, Debbie Good and her special friend, Lillian (Wally) Lynch.

Chris and Linda’s family would like to express their thanks to Stephanie Ewing for her part in assisting Linda during her last moments on this earth and to the Paramedics and Emergency Room staff at the Saint John Regional Hospital, under the direction of Dr. Ross- your exceptional efforts will never be forgotten.

Cremation will take place after a private family viewing and there will be a private celebration of life at a later date.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home (634-7424).

Linda’s loved ones would like to ask that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakewood Head Start or to a charity of one’s choice.
