Obituary of Eileen McGaghey

It is with broken hearts but loving appreciation that the family of Eileen McGaghey, beloved wife of the late Thomas Edwin McGaghey, announces her peaceful passing at home on December 3, 2021, surrounded by her family. Born in Ontario on August 19, 1934, she was the daughter of the late George and Edna (McIntyre) Jessup.

Eileen is survived by her daughters: Iris Esson (Gary), Elizabeth (Gordie) Gauvin, Joanne Ferris, Jocelyn Lesley, and Sharon McGaghey; son: Raymond McGaghey; several grand and great-grandchildren; sisters: Shirley (the late Lawrence) Flemming and Joyce (Calvin) Biggelow; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and her parents, Eileen was predeceased by her son Lloyd Parsons, daughter Terry Anderson, and brothers Robert and Ross Jessup.

Special thanks to Extramural for all their caring and help that they gave our mother, especially nurse Pat Chapman.

Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, from 2 PM – 4 PM and 6 PM – 8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at 2 PM, from Brenan’s Chapel, followed by interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
