Obituary of Pauline Roberta Haslett

 

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Pauline Roberta Haslett announce her passing on December 26th, 2021, in her 90th year, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

 

Pauline was born on August 28th, 1931, in Saint John, New Brunswick, to the late Robert and Freda Faye (nee Provan) Kilpatrick.

 

Pauline grew up in Titusville, NB and graduated from Hampton Consolidated School in 1950. She worked at the Saint John Regional Hospital Lab until her retirement. Pauline’s faith sustained her throughout her life, and she was a committed member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, where she served in the clothing depot and choir over the years. She enjoyed going on bus tours and vacations with family and friends. Pauline will be remembered for her quiet nature and kindness, but especially for her love for her family, who she faithfully cared for and supported, even in her advanced years.

 

Pauline leaves behind her loving husband for 11 years, William Verner Haslett; step-son Bill Haslett, Cory Haslett, and Terry (Lisa) Haslett; step-grandchildren Brittney Haslett; grand-niece Laura (Christopher) Biggs, grand-nephew Geoffrey (Jasmine) Smith, and their mother Gail (nee Smith) (Normand) Dupuis; and many other relatives and friends. Pauline is now reunited with her parents; first husband Allison Coates; sisters Thelma Tays and Doreen Smith; brothers-in-law Harold Smith, Ernest Tays and Morris Smith; nephew Eldon Smith and niece Karla Tays.

 

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Due to the current pandemic, the funeral for Pauline will be a private family service. Donations in Pauline’s memory can be made to Cornerstone Baptist, or charity of choice.
