Obituary of Mitchell Charles Leger

It is with broken hearts that the family of Mitchell Leger of Saint John, cherished husband of Denise (Gogan) Leger, announce his passing which occurred on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born on November 26, 1948 in Bathurst, he was a son of the late Francis and Helen (Cameron) Leger.

Prior to his retirement, Mitch was the owner and operator of Mitch Leger Excavating.

Mitch is survived by his son, Jason (Lisa); sisters, Margaret (Malcolm), Susan, Becky, Louise and Jennifer (Ron); brothers, Frankie (Brenda) and Joey (Elaine); sisters-in-law, Holly (Rob), Susan (Paul) and Gail (Larry); grandson, Ryan; as well as many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Paul and infant brother, Bobby.

Although there will be no public visitation, relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated from Holy Spirit Parish - St. Rose of Lima Worship Site (541 Milford Road, Saint John) on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 11:30 AM.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424).
