Daniels, Carol Yvonne (nee Brinton)

Carol passed peacefully on January 4, 2024, at Embassy Hall in Quispamsis with her devoted husband Peter, the love of her life, at her side.

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on April 28, 1935, she was the oldest of eight siblings.

She is survived by her husband Peter, her son Michael (Shirley), her daughter Nancy, her grandson Jeffrey (Holly), her granddaughter Erica (Marc), her great grandchildren Layla and Matteo, her brother Joseph (Shirley) and sisters Patricia and Nancy (Michael) as well as many nieces and nephews who will miss her beautiful smile, wit and laughter.

Carol was predeceased by her mother Agnes, father Joseph, son Stephen, sister Joan (late Carl), and brothers Bill (Pat), Merrill (Judy) and Peter.

Carol met and fell in love with her husband Peter at Mount Allison University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science. They married June 16, 1956, and moved to Saint John, NB where they have lived and thrived for the past 67 years, with the exception of a three-year hiatus in Toronto.

Carol did work in blood chemistry at the Path Lab, taught at Vocational School for a year and worked in real estate for a few years. She was a Jaycette, sang in the church choir and taught Sunday School. Carol embraced life enjoying and excelling at such pursuits as bridge, curling, golf, painting, sewing, travelling and most of all humour and laughter with friends and family.

Special thanks to the staff of Embassy Hall, Parkland in the Valley, for their care and support over the past year.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Riverside Golf and Country Club, 2524 Rothesay Road, Rothesay, New Brunswick, on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 4 - 6 pm. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
