Dear,Cathy,I awake,thinking of you everyday,and what huge loss,Fred,is to you all,Katie,Jess,Sarah,all the dear grandchildren,sisters,Margot,Vicki,and Debbie,and of course to all,his friends.Though,Terry,and I,didn’t know Fred well,we always knew what a kind,and caring guy,he always was…..his entire life.Though,life is wonderful,we all seem to be at a stage,where our personal losses have become overwhelmingly sad! I loved Fred as a father-in-law and as a human being in general. I first met him when he was a young 48 years old. I learned a lot from him over the years besides having such a gentle and kind spirit, every time I was around Fred no matter what the situation was that everything was going to be alright and he had that same mentality right until the very end. He was just the type of man that was accepted by all and that was very evident when he attended my bachelor party before marrying his amazing daughter. He spent the whole weekend in his boxers at the Hartland golf course and all my buddies accepted him from that very moment. It was a great memory for me.

To Cathy, his daughters and his sisters my condolances. In 1964 I moved to New Brunswick ,the first day of school (I knew nobody) he introduced himself to me, he introduced me to his friends , invited me to his home , in 1969 we had an apartment together, he was my best man and Godfather to my daughter. Fred always greeted you with a smile, he loved his family. It was so nice to reconnect last fall. I treasure that visit..Steady Freddy. RIP

I don’t think I have ever before posted to one of these tributes, but I now feel compelled to do so. Fred and have been friends ever since junior golf days, then as couples with shared common friends, and for many years as a team mate on the never feared curling team that included John Wallace and Jim Connolly ( we only won one bonspiel, but we created a lifetime of laughs and memories) , and finally as a trusted and respected financial advisor.
